We were delighted to welcome Amie from Barnardo’s to Fairfield College recently, to speak to two groups of young people about the organisation and what volunteering is. Amie did a fantastic presentation, engaging students and answering their questions. Several students are now keen to volunteer.

Amie began by talking about the history of Barnardo’s and the work that the organisation does to help children and families in need. She then went on to discuss the importance of volunteering and how it can make a real difference in the lives of others. The students were particularly interested in hearing about the different ways that they could volunteer, and Amie gave them some great ideas.
