SUPPORTED INTERNSHIPS
For learners 19+ there is a supported internship in collaboration with Wiltshire Employment Support Team (WEST) which runs from County Hall in Trowbridge and is only offered to those that are in their final year of education.
Learners applying for this programme must:
- Be 19 years old by 1 Sept at the start of the academic year
- Have an open EHCP and live in Wiltshire
- Demonstrate motivation and commitment to the SI year and the workplace
- Be able to travel independently or willing to learn
- Have prior work experience (work experience or volunteering)
- Have a successful interview as there may be more applicants than places available
- Most importantly, want to leave education and get a job
