LIFE BEYOND COLLEGE

The Living Well Service

The Living Well Service is designed for young adults with learning and physical disabilities. Based in Wiltshire, we provide a range of services to enhance and improve the lives of young adults, who live with their families, or who own or rent a home with their own tenancy/license.

The Living Well Service is flexible to individual needs, requirements and budget. There is no ‘one-size fits all’ approach. We work with families, carers and other professionals to decide on the most effective use of The Living Well Service.

STEPS Programme

Fairfield Trust provides support for young adults aged between 16 and 25 with learning difficulties. Our STEPS programmes are based around the individual needs of each young person, enabling them to take the next steps into independent living.

STEPs to independence is an essential program developed specifically for young adults facing unique challenges as they prepare for their transition to independence. The program offers a supported living experience in college houses.

Short Breaks and Respite services

Fairfield Trust offers young adults with learning disabilities Short Breaks and Respite care services in Wiltshire and surrounding areas. Young people can enjoy a short break or overnight stay in our houses in Dilton Marsh near Westbury.

We offer a wide variety of activities to make the experience an enjoyable one. Our breaks are a chance to make new friends, try new experiences and even learn new skills. We offer many activities such as swimming, baking, walking, days out to places like Longleat, or the beach.

The Living Well Social Club

The Living Well Social Club offers a chance for adults with learning disabilities to get together, have fun and make friends. The service operates weekly in Wiltshire, covering a variety of areas such as Trowbridge, Westbury, Trowbridge, Bradford-On-Avon, Warminster, Frome and surrounding villages.

The Living Well Social Club offers a variety of activities that participants can enjoy. Weekly activities include cinema visits, pub meet ups, meals, games nights, bowling and more. Members can put forward suggestions to help shape the activities schedule for future weeks.
