Foundation students visit Roche Court New Art Centre

We were lucky enough today to experience a visit to Roche Court Sculpture Park. Jenny, Julianne and Emma made us all very welcome and greeted us on arrival. After refreshments we were given picture boards with images of different parts of sculptures we would see, we were also given art paper and a pencil to draw our interpretation of the sculptures.

We were lucky and had a dry day to look around. Every sculpture had something sensory linked to it from the five senses sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch. One of the favourites was hearing a swarm of bees, following the sound and finding a Cello covered in golden bees.

Thank you to everyone at Roche Court, all the students thoroughly enjoyed their visit and we will no doubt be going back for a return visit soon.
