Our Student Council have still been busy despite the challenges COVID-19 have brought. It has been difficult at times for the Student Council to hold meetings. They have had to adapt to change and hold virtual meetings over Zoom. The Student Council are hoping that a meeting with the CEO/Principal and Chair of the Trust Board can happen soon.

The Student Council have been assisting in raising awareness and supporting students with the ever-changing year of lockdown. They have been involved with a variety of projects to help students understand what has been going on, partaking in various videos and helping to support students through this difficult time. 

The Student Council continue to support Ann in collecting for the local food bank, Crosspoint in Westbury. Together they tripled their collection amount the collected last year.

They worked as a team to create activities to raise money for charity, considering for the events they were in periods of reduced student numbers,  they raised an amazing amount. 

• Children in Need – Raised £114.11
• Christmas Jumper Day – Raised £106.00
• World Down Syndrome Day – Raised £200.00

They have also been involved in team building activities such as a football tournament when restrictions enabled.

The Student Council have also been involved in the interview process for a Graduate Teacher position and two LSA positions.
