On Friday 18th March, students planned and took part in a range of events to help raise money for Comic Relief 2022. The Student Council was tasked with thinking up fundraising ideas, and that they did!
There were several raffles running in the Fairfield Farm College Farm Shop, Post Office and Cafe including a tasty Red Nose Day cake and handmade sock monkey.
The main activity of the day was a ‘Music Marathon’. Each tutor group was given a music genre and asked to make a playlist of music and dress up in fancy dress from the same genre. They could choose a long or short route to follow around the village of Dilton Marsh, following various clues. There was also a halfway pit stop which was manned by the Student Council, with water and encouragement for all those partaking.
The total raised for all the events combined was a massive £1280.00, the most students have ever raised for Comic Relief at the college. A big well done to everyone that took part, you did an amazing job!
