Over the last two weeks the college Work Experience students have been working at both Wainwrights Quarry and the Canal & River Trust on various maintenance projects.
They have been working to unblock the lake water runoff and get the water flowing again at Wainwrights Quarry. There’s been a lot of mud to move, but the students have risen to the challenge and are putting a variety of skills into action such as Horticulture and teamwork. They are all enjoying seeing their hard work start to pay off.
Students have also been painting newly installed fences at Bradford on Avon Wharf, getting the area all ready for the summer weather, with many visitors expected to be using the Canal picnic area. The work experience group couldn’t wait to get stuck in and transform the area.
